AAfter taking the Cannes film festival by storm, here are some notable asian films to keep track of.

Directed by Lee Chang-dong, Burning finished at the top of Cannes Jury Grid with a  record score of 3.8 out of 4.

Directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, Shoplifters won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes and is considered a return to form for the director.

Directed by Jia Zhang-Ke, Ash is Purest White is from the acclaimed director who brought us Mountains May Depart.

The final film to watch is Long Day’s Journey Into Night, directed by Gan Bi–who is not only the youngest on the list of Asian Directors but who also has the least amount of films under his belt. Known for his rise to fame: Kali Blues, the Chinese director is someone to keep an eye on.
